Heather is passionate about education, family, friends, and is eager to actively support others in their journey towards personal fulfillment. Her background in education has inspired a unique parenting program (Baby’s Best Brain), working together with new parents in establishing a rich learning environment for their baby’s neurological development. As part of the Feels Like Home team, she enriches the organization by bringing a wealth of knowledge as a business owner, educater, and organizational guru.

For Loree, life really does begin in the garden! When she isn’t busy gardening, she’s most happy sharing a cup of dark roast with a dear friend, pranking her husband, or exploring local BC lakes and forests with her family of 5. Feels Like Home Newcomers has grown out of her desire to walk alongside those who are looking for a community where EVERYONE is valued and plays a vital role in both planting and nurturing the seeds of meaningful connection. For over a decade, Loree has worked in the newcomer sector and brings a varied set of skills suited to nurturing a resilient, diverse and inclusive community.

Darla’s favorite pastime is making new friends and learning about other cultures - especially if it involves a sunset and a beach! Her husband and 2 children are the inspiration behind her healthy lifestyle and every weekend you will find her sweating it out in the yoga studio. Darla brings 10 years of experience in the newcomer sector along with a background in Early Childhood Education. She welcomes every newcomer with a warm smile and sincerely desires to support each individual in their journey towards becoming deeply rooted in their community.
